What are Collections on uSync?

A Collection on uSync is really whatever you make it to be. At its most basic, a Collection is a group of related content, a place where you can gather your thoughts, images, and articles you’ve read, all in one place. You can make a Collection based on a single topic, like photography or jazz music, or you can even create a Collection of unrelated content, like all of your unread articles.

If you want to create a brand new Collection, click on ‘create Collection’ in the menu bar. You can then add a title, description, and cover image.

How do you add content to a Collection? You have three options:

  1. From the menu bar, click the ‘+’ symbol.
  2. From any content page, click ‘add to Collection.’ You’ll be able to select from Collections you’ve already created, or create a new Collection on the spot.
  3. If you have the uSync browser extension, you can use that to both add content to an existing Collection or create a Collection on the spot and add it directly.

Now that you’ve got the basics, there are several things you can do with a Collection. It’s not just a place where you can store ideas for your reference only, though it can be. You can also:

  1. Share with other users on uSync.
  2. Recommend your Collection within other content you’ve created on uSync. (ex. Stories, Crowds, Events, Playlists)
  3. Comment on your Collection and reply to others’ comments.
